Salary has base in range of $85K to 100K, but the real plum is that your commissions are not capped!  This employer actually wants you to make as much as you can!

If you join this team, you will be selling HVAC equipment that is well known for being the most famous and the best quality Commercial HVAC products.

Overview
  1. The Commercial Applied HVAC Sales Engineer’s primary responsibility is to call on consulting engineering firms and large mechanical contractors.
  2. Introduce and explain the many reasons that your commercial HVAC products are the best for the clients including mechanical contractors, owner developers, and business direct customers.
  3. Call on assigned consulting engineers to keep them abreast of product line changes and assist with equipment selections to secure specifications.
  4. Manage sales in territory assigned by the Commercial Sales Manager.  This can include non-contiguous areas and individual customers.
  5. Shares commercial product sales responsibility with Territory Manager where territories overlap.
  6. Compensation is composed of a base salary with commissions paid per applicable commission schedule or full commission structure.
Daily duties:
  1. Travels throughout assigned territory to service established accounts and solicit orders, as well as respond to incoming calls for commercial sales during standard business office hours.
  2. Prepare a monthly itinerary at the beginning of each month, segmented by week.  Copies are provided to the Commercial Sales Manager.
  3. Attend all scheduled sales meetings as requested by Sales Management.
  4. Display, demonstrate and present product.
  5. Demonstrate knowledge of HVAC applications to position represented equipment competitively. 
  6. Informs contractors of upcoming training seminars, meetings, special pricing and promotions, new product introductions, advertising accruals and purchase performance.
  7. Quote prices and credit terms and prepare sales documentation for orders obtained for entry into sales order system.
  8. Assembles shop drawings as requested and required.
  9. Use available resources to meet or exceed customer expectations for product and delivery requests.
  10. Prepares reports of business transactions including plan and spec. jobs, negotiated or claimed jobs, and special projects.  Keeps updated job files on all projects as required, both pending and in progress.
  11. Submits expense account reports on a timely basis.
  12. Prepare monthly sales reports by category of key accounts (to 80% of volume) and analyze opportunities for increased sales.  Recommend actions to gain share of market and revenues to Sales Management for implementation.
  13. Monitor competitive brand activities and provide regular pricing and technical feedback, including documentation to Commercial Sales Manager.
  14. Assists territory managers in assigned territory with commercial equipment applications and sales. 
  15. Other duties as required, assigned or necessary.
Education and experience required:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in an Engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical or industrial) and
  • 5 to 7 years employment as a Commercial Inside Sales Engineer or a combination of education and 2 years of equipment sales experience.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience/ability with PC to use applicable software and support programs.
